This Privacy Policy explains how Taskwerk ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application. By using Taskwerk, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — When you register or sign in, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is transmitted securely (HTTPS) and stored in a hashed form on our servers. We never store passwords in plain text.

User-generated content — We store the content you create in the app, including goals, tasks, daily plans, categories, and your activity log. This data is associated with your account and synchronized with our servers to keep your data available across devices.

Device identifier — If you use the app as a guest without an account, we generate a random device identifier so your guest data can be associated with your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate, and maintain your account and the app's core functionality.
To store and synchronize your goals, tasks, plans, and activity history.
To keep you signed in across sessions and devices.
To respond to your support requests.

3. Data Storage and Security

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
Your authentication tokens are stored locally on your device in a secure, encrypted storage area provided by the operating system.
Your app data is cached locally on your device to improve performance.
Your data is stored on our servers and is protected by industry-standard security measures.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services. Your data is used solely to provide the Taskwerk service to you.

5. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app:

Settings → Delete Account

When you delete your account, your email address, hashed password, goals, tasks, daily plans, activity log, and all other data associated with your account are permanently removed from our servers. This action cannot be undone. Data stored locally on your device is also cleared.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active and for as long as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, your data is removed in accordance with Section 5.

7. Children's Privacy

Taskwerk is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
